Competition is huge in the business sector. Life might have been quite easy-going had there been no competition in any sphere. Unfortunately, there is no choice.

Call centre service providers are flooding the market of South Asian regions thereby making Philippines and India the main zone for all sorts of call center and BPO activities across the world. As a result, competition is reaching its peak gradually.

UK and US companies hire these inexpensive call center service providers to suffice their needs. Like all other call centers in India, we also tried to have some honest earning.

However, things were completely different, and there was dishonesty everywhere when we worked with Phruit Limited.

Phruit was a giant telecom company in UK for whom we did business from the leads provided by them.

So, it’s the same job and the pay was good, rather I would say the pay was supposed to be fairly good. Knowing the company to be clean we agreed to work with them but afterwards regretted on it.

After catering business for some months, when the time for the first installment came, we faced issues from Phruit management.

We were not suspicious at the beginning since in call centre industry getting payments is always a tough task.

The same delay took place in the second installment, as well. Besides, other fraud acts of this company induced us to verify its background and the truth that is revealed is horrible.

We are not the first victim of Phruit Limited. They have cheated other companies also of their deserved money. Small call centers have been suffering for a very long time.

To add to the woes, Phruit is also accused of violating the regulations of DMA or Direct Marketing Association. The DMC ethical codes that Phruit failed to abide by are –

  • 21.18 and 21.20 on TPS compliance and data cleansing
  • 3.11 under which Phruit has a responsibility for compliance by suppliers
  • 3.18 on “sugging” or carrying out sales and marketing under the disguise of research

We found that this company is benefitted from both ends – in one way they goofed telemarketing companies working with them and in other way they steal the information of the customers under TPS.

We, somehow, saved ourselves from ruining our reputation. So, it’s our request to the other companies that desire to join Phruit. Check the details of this company before entering into a deal with them so that you don’t suffer like us.
